Here at Clear Business we’re a company that is always on the lookout to improve and sustain our growth. It’s with great joy that on Friday 31st of May, we were recognised for our efforts and achievements as a business and named Best Business (51+ Employees) at the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards 2019.
Held at Motherwell Concert Hall, the evening celebrated the success of both individuals and team across the Lanarkshire business community in 10 categories. Compered by comedienne and actress Elaine C Smith and hosted by North and South Lanarkshire Councils, the prestigious gala saw a variety of high calibre finalists being acknowledged for their accomplishments, together raising over £8000 for Kilbryde Hospice.
Clear Business winning Best Business (51+ Employees) is a great triumph that we’re very proud of. This category looked at companies with a strong performance record and team who stood out from the competitors, plans for continued success, and strong stakeholder relationship. It’s great to be acknowledged for all the efforts that we’ve been making to ensure that Clear Business grows, improves and achieves.
Our history started in 2013, when we became a challenger in the Scottish water market following its deregulation. Since then, we’ve steadily built our customer base, and today we’re the largest independent water supplier in Scotland. With a 26% market share of the water market and our one bill, this award validates our strong performance and the hard work from our Hamilton based team.
On winning the award, Clear Business Co-Founder and Director John O’Donnell said: “The Clear Business success story over the last 6 years is something we are very proud of. The transition from a positively focussed disruptive water supplier to a unique multi-service provider has led to our strong performance record and helped us stand out in this category.
To be recognised for this and the hard work the team has put in with this prestigious award is a fantastic accolade. Clear Business is Lanarkshire born and bred and we could not have built our business anywhere else.”
The night did not just end with this award. Clear Business also placed as a finalist for Employer of the Year. It was incredible to see how Clear Business is being acknowledged within Lanarkshire which has long been a hotbed of successful and diverse businesses. South Lanarkshire Council’s Chair of Community and Enterprise Resources, Councillor John Anderson, explains: “to be a winner at these awards, an extremely high level of excellence has to be achieved.
The winners this year have shown that this exceptional standard is not only continuing, but flourishing, as they nurture business success, as they innovate and as they recognise the expertise and dedication of all who work with them, at every level.”
Thank you to everyone who made this night possible and for our staff who have helped us in every step of the way to become Best Business (51+ Employees) at the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards 2019!
