Supporting Local Communities During Volunteers' Week 2024

Earlier this month our teams took part in the 40th Volunteers’ Week – helping in the local communities in which we live and work.

Volunteers' Week is a chance to recognise, celebrate, and thank the UK’s incredible volunteers for all they contribute to our local communities.

Our Giving Back Movement team hosted drop-in sessions in Dovecote and Rutherglen during the week for colleagues to come and learn more about our volunteering opportunities.

It was also World Environment Day on 5th June, so we equipped our volunteer litter pickers to help clean up our sites, improving our work environment and creating more awareness of the impact of waste.

A huge thanks to all who volunteered at All Hallows Church in Cheadle. Colleagues sanded, painted, varnished, and cleaned up this important community space, which is used by over 500 people every week.

Janet Tysoe, Community Development Worker at All Hallows Church commented: Well, what a lovely, hardworking and co-operative team you were.   Not once was there any moaning or unwillingness to work together.  You are an amazing group of people, and your firm is lucky to have you. Thank you all so very much."

Thank you to everyone who took part in Volunteers' Week 2024!

Our Giving Back Movement is always looking for new projects to support in the local community.  If you need volunteers, then get in touch with us by emailing givingbackmovement@clearbusiness.co.uk
