We’re moving your landline and broadband service to Digital Voice, at no extra cost to you. This upgrade is part of the UK-wide move to a fully digital network.
Openreach is switching off the old analogue phone network by January 2027, which means anyone who currently uses the old analogue network needs to move to a digital phone service before then, or else their service will no longer work.
The good news? You don’t need to worry, we’re getting this sorted for you well ahead of the switch-off, so you stay connected without disruption.
The UK’s traditional landline network is being retired and replaced with a modern digital service.
Instead of phone calls running over the old analogue network, Digital Voice uses your broadband connection to make and receive calls. This is similar to how voice and video calls work on smartphones and apps today.
You’ll still be able to make and receive calls as normal
There’s no change to your contract or price
Your service will be prepared for the move to digital
A more up-to-date way to stay connected
There’s no downside, it’s simply an upgrade.

Alarm systems (including personal or panic alarms)

Card payment machines that aren’t contactless
You’ll need to contact your equipment provider to check they’re compatible with Digital Voice.
