Water Usage Updates

With one of the driest springs on record, many areas across England and Wales have been declared in drought. We have outlined the impacted areas below.

Whilst the majority of businesses will not be impacted by these restrictions, it is important that all customers are responsible with their water use, so we would urge everyone to be conscious of the water that they are using.

Restrictions do apply to businesses that may use a hosepipe or sprinkler for domestic purposes, for example a pub watering plants in their garden.

Yorkshire Water

On 11th July, Yorkshire Water put hosepipe restrictions in place across Yorkshire following the driest spring on record.

The Temporary Use Ban (TUB) will only affect Yorkshire Water customers. However, all regions across the UK are experiencing low water levels due to recent warm weather. Please be mindful only to use water when necessary.

South East Water

On 18th July, South East Water put hosepipe restrictions in place across Kent and Sussex due record-breaking demand for drinking water .

Thames Water
